I may be biased, but I really like this quilt. I think that it has a classy charm that looks difficult but actually is quite simple because it is mainly one block turned and repeated many times. The main block is a ‘Birds in the Air’ block which is made from half square triangles and some added triangles. This is a good pattern for triangle exchanges with friends or for your favorite scrap fabrics.
This classic beautiful quilt would be stunning as a centerpiece for your master bedroom or that sophisticated guest room. The star design looks difficult, but can be sewn by any intermediate quilter. Batiks work very well, but this quilt would look just as good in many color combinations or with triangle squares exchanged with friends.
