This seasonless wrap skirt pattern is offered in three lengths; mini, knee skimming and tea length. Included are simpleto follow directions for lengthening the pattern to a stunning maxi length as well. On each style the skirt panels descend from a wide band that wraps and fastens asymmetrically on the front with a choice of three closures. The first option; a pair of extra large eyelets stacked on the end of the band with two self fabric bias ties stitched at the side that pass through the eyelet openings to secure. The second closure style offered consists of two fabric tabs encircling a pair of Drings that emerge from the end of the band. Top stitched fabric belts stitched at the side seam loop through the strings to fasten. The third is an easy snap closure for a clean silhouette. Two decorative snaps adorn the end of the band to fasten where you wish. All closure options make it easy to adjust the fit to your liking. With every closure, a large hidden snap keeps the band securely in place beneath.
The skirts are cut from denim with the edges left raw for a modern edge or are constructed from cotton as a lined skirt with traditional, enclosed seams. A double row of contrasting topstitching is applied as a design element. Stitched to the front skirt panel is a top stitched patch pocket. This pattern features it created with the wrong side of the denim exposed for a mix of textures. Utilize the contemporary hues of new fashion denim such as Crossroads denim by Amy Barickman or try crafting the skirt from re-purposed denim jeans and transferring the jean pockets to the back of the skirt! Denim deconstruction instructions are provided. For an eclectic look, try constructing the skirt with a mix of cotton prints.
